About This Coffee:

Jose Espinoza, the heart of Finca El Recreo, started his journey with coffee in 2016 when he planted his first coffee trees on his family farm in Algeciras, Huila. Jose, along with his wife and family, now produces exceptional coffees, focusing on natural and anaerobically processed varieties. With guidance from Yonatan Gonzales at Cuatro Vientos, Jose adopted alternative coffee processing methods, leading to high-quality naturals that account for 80% of their harvest.

Finca El Recreo benefits from fertile volcanic soil and abundant water sources, ensuring rich and unique coffee flavors. To improve quality and sustainability, they expanded their drying capacity with solar drying modules, allowing for better prices and eco-friendly processing. The coffee undergoes a 40-hour anaerobic fermentation, followed by drying on elevated tables for 20 to 21 days.

This coffee embodies the dedication of the Espinoza family and the unique characteristics of the Huila region, offering a fruity, juicy cup with complex flavors.
